MAPPA's CEO says Chainsaw Man Season 1 didn't go as planned.

He explains that the Studio's lack of experience and an immature organizational structure were exposed.

"A major cause was that the philosophy and decision-making criteria we had established in production were not aligned with our rights management practices."

Following the First Season, he took the helm of the rights division himself and decided to overhaul the executive structure and the system itself:

"I believed we needed to redesign everything from the ground up, focusing not on what to sell, but on what we wanted to deliver."

Clover works loosing money happens by design, it’s not a problem.

I will always give Mankoman credit for putting out the most informative videos about the anime industry. But his speculation skills are horrible.
CSM and JJK are still on separate pipelines, neither is stealing resources from each other, and they’ll probably air quite close again

I will always find it hilarious that someone as talented as Tatsuya Yoshihara has directed works with a matchbox and sticks as resources until MAPPA gave him CSM Reze.
(And he is only joining the CSM project until 2028 allegedly)
