Impossible is just a word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing
It’s normal protocol to line the streets with foreign flags when their state heads visit, so no issue with Indian flags on our streets to welcome PM Modi
But it’s not normal to see foreign flags on Independence Day in any country.
PM Modi arrives on 25th, 26th is our Independence Day. That day, our streets should be filled with Maldivian flags, not those of India, China, US or any other country.
So I hope these will be replaced for 26th.
Seeing another nation’s flag dominate our streets on Independence Day would be a national embarrassment and a disgrace
Very concerned⁉️
Tips are earned with the hesrtfelt service we provide. Hospitality comes with a character with the professionalism. It’s years of experience and knowledge. There is this specific word to call to these kind of leaders #naagaabilu
In a meeting yesterday, MACL DMD Mujthaba said that after the new terminal opens, resort airport staff should not be allowed to go with guests up to the check-in counters.
He said they are only there to “earn tips”.
He doesn’t understand our hospitality industry.
It’s the friendly, helpful service that guests get at VIA Airport what makes our airport special compared to others in the world.
MACL staff don’t have the special knowledge about each resort or airline that’s needed to help luxury guests. The resort reps get special training and follow int’l brand rules. Many famous hotel brands also require the rep to stay with the guest until check-in is done. Tipping someone for good service is normal, it’s a way of saying thank you, not something bad.
Mujthaba needs to enroll in a hospitality crash course.
They say it's just a "fee." And limits doubled.... BUT if you can't afford a credit card, @bankofmaldives is making you pay 30% extra for being broke.
This isn't banking. It's punishment.
And we're the ones paying for their broken system. Meanwhile Gov busy getting orchids named
This is the most fucked up policy decision by any Maldivian gov.
These NGOs/individuals provide basic shelter & food regardless of one’s nationality, race, gender etc.
They serve HUMANS.
This is the case in all civilised countries.
It works like that in war zones too.
You don’t live here do you? We need buses and you know very well drug lords and gangsters don’t use buses but expensive sports cars. MDP government have also increased the taxi fares so that taxi drivers can take a huge profit. Each taxi driver now owns two or 3 cars on non-existing garage letters.
All these corrupt politicians pave way for rich and criminals. Our role is to vote, pay taxes and struggle.
After all Maldives is a luxury destination for the rich and a hellhole for its average citizens.
