Last night, Canada honoured me with a Governor General's Award and this video. I'm not crying. It's just maple syrup. @stevenpage is a friend and legend for wasting this amazing song on me. Thank you to Her Excellency, @GGCanada, Mary Simon. #GGAwards@CanadasNAC I'm a wreck.
@jaimestein I have always admired the Sikh community. Growing up in Kenya, we knew if we were hungry we could always show up at the temple and we would be well fed and never questioned, even though we were not Sikh.

@ellenroseman Sounds like U of T pay attention to youโฆcan you ask them why they have moved next monthโs convocation ceremony to online when we have events of 20,000 people at the ACC ? Donโt their students deserve to celebrate their graduation in person ?
@waub Iโm puzzled why universities like @UofT refuse to have their graduation ceremony in person for the students next month when events such as these are going on by following reasonable precautions.
Blown away by the amazing partnership between @chloefashion & @sheltersuit foundation that is helping the homeless, providing jobs for Syrian refugees and promoting sustainability thru Upcycling. "Humans helping humans" Bastimmer

@AlibuxRay@UofT@JohnTory@fordnation@CTVNews@globalnewsto Itโs a very sad state when a school thinks itโs above feedback from students and parents. Particularly when they are aware of heightened student stress levels that can lead to suicide.
@UofT Why are you having a virtual convocation ceremony in November ? Your students deserve a celebration of their hard work. Movie theatres and hockey arenas are open. Why not graduation ceremonies? @JohnTory@fordnation@CTVNews@globalnewsto
@globalnewsto So why are institutions like @UofT not holding graduation ceremonies for their students ? They are hosting a virtual ceremony in November, ignoring their students wish for a traditional ceremony to celebrate their hard work.
