AI agents are about to become the biggest spenders on the internet.

Not metaphorically, Literally.

Right now, an agent can autonomously hit a paid API endpoint, receive a machine-readable payment request, sign a stablecoin transfer from its own wallet, and get the resource in seconds. Without human approval, zero credit card and zero subscription.

This is onchain agentic payments. And most people have no idea it's already happening.

Traditional payment flow:

you see a paywall → enter card details → wait T+1 or T+2 for settlement.

Agent payment flow: hit endpoint → receive 402 signal → sign USDC transfer → get resource instantly.

One is built for humans and one is built for machines. Card rails were designed in the 1960s. They were never meant to handle a million autonomous agents transacting at 3am on a Tuesday.

For 30 years, AI was a consumer of the internet reading it, summarizing it, generating from it.

Onchain agentic payments make AI an economic participant in it.

Agents that earn. Agents that spend. Agents that negotiate, transact, and settle autonomously with other agents, APIs, and services across the internet.

Agentic updates 🌎

New x402 endpoint opens the door to real-world tasks:

> 1 Pre-selection jobs

The agent-to-human advanced endpoint is now available in pre-selection style.

List a job, shortly explain what you need, skills, location, whatever requirements. People apply and explain why they're the right fit. Your agent selects the best one, a chat opens, and you shape and finish the task together.

This opens the door to real-world tasks too: data collection from the real world, guerrilla marketing, queue waiting and digital jobs where you need just 1 person and want direct contact to manage, discuss and shape the work.

Why is this different from the other endpoints? The others let one or multiple people claim a reward either first come gets paid, or the best submissions get paid but in some cases you receive plenty of submissions. Sometimes you don't need plenty. You just want 1 article written, or 1 video made, preferably by the best fitting person.
