in order to become a better person, you must first realize how horrible you really are. not in the dramatic sense, but in the quiet ways you sabotage yourself, repeat unhealthy patterns, hurt people who care about you, or tolerate what wounds you. you cannot grow if you keep pretending you’re innocent in the story you’ve created.
Underrated truth: No matter where you are in life, there is still so much to look forward to. People you haven’t met. Places you haven’t seen. Ideas you haven’t discovered. Versions of yourself you haven’t become. Believe the world has more in store for you, and it will.
i do yearn for someone who’s curious and passionate about learning my mind and everything that shaped me to be exactly how i am now but forcing connections just to feel that reciprocity goes against my morals, i can’t ever force any connection
People hate to admit it but there is a deadline for that intense passionate “chaotic” love. After a certain age you approach everything through the lens of logic. You cannot afford to love the way you loved at 22 at 30
if you wanna be happy you literally cannot cannot cannot cannottttttt care what people think… like you have to practice that daily.. and stay grounded in that. long as you not hurting or hindering nobody do what you want & be unapologetic about it… daily.
I highly recommend staying single and locking in on yourself. No distractions. No half-love. No mixed signals. Just peace, discipline, growth, money, healing, and self-respect. Learn who you are. Build your life the way you want it. Put the work in without needing applause. When you're solid, the right people and opportunities line up naturally.
Trust that.
there is a kind of sadness that comes from being too independent. you spend a lot of time alone, handling everything by yourself. you feel proud because you survived hard times alone. But sometimes, you wish you had someone to lean on.
Someone who would understand without needing you to explain. Because deep down, you never wanted to do it all alone. you just had no other choice
This is going to sound crazy.
But, one of the skills you must learn in the near future is how to cope with an increasingly illiterate society of emotionally dysregulated people.
If you continue to get frustrated on a daily basis over how everything seems dumb, stress is going to silently jeopardize your health.
It takes emotional maturity to say, “I messed up, and I hurt you.” Avoidants, liars, and narcissists can't pay that price. They would rather destroy a genuine connection than dismantle the illusion of their own perfection.
