They shout “Bring Him Home!” They never shouted “Justice!” They even go so far as saying that the thousands of deaths were “fake news.”

Inasmuch as I do not want to dismiss their sentiments, it is just really shameless and morally repugnant to idolize somebody so much that you have already forgotten the REAL victims in this case. Duterte is there because he has to face the charges against him. To bring him home without facing trial is to once again deny justice to the victims.

There may still be a lot of you who adore and love the guy, but justice is not a popularity contest. Indeed, Duterte must face the consequences of his actions under International Law.
