@TheWispGuy @TBon456 TLDR Clair needs to grow up and does. Whitney's innocence needs to be preserved, and that rubs a lot of people other than me the wrong way.

@TheWispGuy @TBon456 Whitney is just kind of insane to the point she hasn't learned something she should have when she was 5. Clair's crashout is for sane reasons, and Whitney's is indicative of unaddressed psychological issues. Whitney is a precious cinnamon bun that must be protected at all costs.

@StriderCaptain It also frames Shadow Naoto's intentions as benevolent. The whole reason she sets up the secret lab scenario is the same reason as all the other shadows. I need to reiterate that literally all she wanted was to make inevitably murdering Naoto easier. :/

@StriderCaptain Yeah. Like her story arc is a woman coming to terms with the fact its wrong to conform to the expectations of a patriarchal institution. Changing the first step of that to her conforming to said institutions expectations breaks the whole thing.
