@xavier_vonz@akreana_ Turnitin flags names and titles sometimes because they appear in many sources online. Focus on explaining your originality: clearly reference your supervisor, clarify the research is yours, and consider slightly rewording your title if needed.
Prof. @SsaliSarah , Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs) at @Makerere and Guest of Honour at today’s Professorial Inaugural Lecture, commended MUBS for its growing academic profile, highlighting the institution’s strong research culture and commitment to scholarly excellence. She thanked the MUBS leadership for supporting the growth of scholars across academic ranks.
In her remarks, she noted that Professorial Inaugural Lectures inspire the next generation of scholars, demonstrating that the journey to professorship—though demanding—is attainable through discipline, collaboration and sustained research productivity. She challenged scholars to move beyond merely proving their intellectual capability and instead focus on producing knowledge that directly benefits society and national development. She further urged academics to remain productive beyond attaining professorship by mentoring others, advancing research and ensuring their scholarship addresses societal needs.
Prof. Ssali congratulated Prof. Sheila Namagembe and Prof. Janatti Kyogabiirwe Bagorogoza on this significant academic milestone and their contribution to advancing academic excellence.
