I am a party person and a full-time CPI(M) worker. But I support the CJP protest on October 10 because defending democracy should be bigger than political differences.

SFI has also announced its participation in the same area and on the same day, standing together against the Election Commission and demanding accountability from Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

The question is: why isn’t NSUI joining this broader democratic movement?

Young people are coming to the streets to defend democracy, putting political differences aside. But instead of strengthening this collective struggle, some Congress supporters seem more interested in promoting Rahul Gandhi as an individual political brand.

That is disappointing.

And now, using Neha in a misleading manner to create confusion and demoralise the movement is even more shameful. The issue is bigger than any individual leader or party.

Democracy is not about worshipping leaders.
It is about people standing together.
The movement comes first not personal political promotion.

Shame on anyone trying to weaken a democratic struggle for narrow political gains.

- In Bengal, its membership has gone up from 7 lakh last year to 8 lakh.
- In Bihar, from 1,205 in 2023-24 to 12,113 in 2025-26.
- In Keralam, it has gone up from 15.5 lakh to 16 lakh.
