@player1129949 i havent tried various linux distros but on my fairly minimal arch linux desktop and laptop, linux behaves infinitely better than windows for this

Introducing the #8KChallenge for all mouse enthusiasts, reviewers, and brands.

1. Open MouseTester, MousePlotter, or a similar app.
2. Set your mouse to 8000 Hz and 3200+ DPI.
3. Move it in circles for 60 seconds.
4. Check the graph of the time intervals. All points below 0.2 ms = pass. Any above 0.2 ms= fail.

Pass or fail, share your screenshot along with your mouse, test app, and OS. All three must work together flawlessly to pass this challenge.

Here's ours: the XA25 on Linux, tested with MousePlotter's CLI.

you just need to move the mouse fast enough that there's always data to send. easiest way is just to set max dpi, then any reasonable circle will be enough

circles are preferable to back and forth because with back and forth, there are moments when you stop moving.

1min makes it a rather stringent test

@CORSAIR @aimlab why should there be different profiles according to DPI? shouldn't it be dependent on cm/360?

for example 1600dpi at 2.0 sens and 3200dpi at 1.0 sens give the same on-screen sensitivity... no reason to use different profiles for that.

@S1K1F idk if wsl emulates evdev. if it does it should work, but really there's no point since the windows standalone mouseplotter already captures the timing of the input event as it goes through the windows kernel.
