@Sleepysolcap Dude they are not losing share to PayPal AT ALL. I’ve listen to PayPal earnings call and they specifically say they feel threatened by shopifys shop pay. I can find you verbatim if you want. Their moat and most importantly Stickiness comes from subscription + merchant solutions.
@Sleepysolcap The fact of the matter is logistics has razor thin profit margins. By selling this to get stake in flex port instead is better, if they can focus their energy in merchant solutions and subscriptions, which has profit margins if 50%+
Been keeping a close look at $SHOP number of merchants, shop pay popularity, and https://t.co/7d0dhBtjoW traffic.
Needless to say, don’t be surprised when they obliterate earning estimates and guide higher, demanding a much higher premium than now ;)
Really think about it, Shopify is raising prices for their services instead of decreasing it, especially in this financial environment. The only reason to do this is because demand is stronger than usual.
Earnings date also pushed up to the 15th. Huge long imo $SHOP
$SHOP pay gaining traction it seems. Also consistently ranked #5+ in shopping category on App Store.
+record Black Friday GMV.
Great work @tobi@harleyf
apparently CS teachers introduce recursion by googling the term and then keep clicking the "Did you mean: recursion" link. It bothers me that this is actually a good explanation.
