Here’s a look at the 1600 top 10 list. Number 1 Slader Buckheister and number 9 Adam Gray return for their senior years. It’s obvious to see that 1600 will be a good event for Kennedy this spring.

The longest race in track and field is featured today. With the number 1 & 3 guys returning from this list, (Slader and Adam) the Cougars should have a formidable 1,2 punch.

Today the oldest record on the books . 42 years ago the 4x800 record at Kennedy was set. 3 of the 4 runners from last year’s 4x8 return, and with a few great options for the 4th, this record is in the crosshairs of the 2026 team. It won’t be easy, but it’s doable.

Great way to start the morning watching the sun rise with some of our distance crew. As a former hurdler/jumper, I have the utmost respect for these guys. Very few people can do what they do.

The Cougs brought home the Anamosa Invitational team title this morning. Placing 7 in the top 17.

We are excited to announce that Jacob Green (‘20) will be the next head coach for Kennedy High School Boys' Cross Country!
Coach Green was a 4x All-American at Wartburg, helping the Knights to two National-Runner Up team performances at the national cross country meet.
