HELP NEEDED! XC team is in lockdown for 14 days. Athletes confined to apartments & can't go outside. In early competition phase of season. Have been doing 7-10 miles/day and weights 2x week. TRAINING/CARDIO IDEAS? @runnersworld@runnerspace@RRCAnational@VoltAthletics@Strava
@DanGiuliani@runnersworld@runnerspace@RRCAnational@VoltAthletics@Strava Hey Dan! We already have a subscription to Volt for our weight training program (and it is awesome!!). Are there any cardio specific programs geared for endurance athletes that we could implement (with limited space and equipment)?
@coach_kesha I just have to keep reminding myself that all juco’s are in the same boat, this can impact all #NJCAA programs. Hang in there coach, you’re not alone!
Welcome to real personal accountability. The coming weeks are a test of how badly you want it. You have to make the choice to work, train, study; there’s no coach, no teacher, no trainer, no boss, no one but you. How far will you push yourself to be great when no one is watching?
For my HS athletes at home that may be quarantined. Here’s a great template for you to use DAILY with limited equipment until normality sets back in ⤵️⤵️⤵️

This was a workout that Joaquim Cruz (1984 800m Olympic Champ) regularly performed in the 80’s #800m
Gettin' it done in the classroom and on the course! Congratulations to XC runners: DiDi Jaramillo, Kyra Bentley, Jaden Elliott, and Haleigh Mercer for earning Academic All-American recognition! #educationfirst#goals#cougarpride
I say this a lot, but don’t neglect tempo work.
Eccentric work from time to time.
Isometric work from time to time.
Even combine them together from time to time like you see here 👇
