Begging people to learn the difference between GenAI and procedural/ other types of AI. AI at base is not the problem. AI models trained on stolen works is.
No, Minecraft procedurally generated worlds are not GenAI. At least learn what you’re actually fighting against.
Since a lot of people dont understand the difference.
Not all AI is bad, because not all AI is generative AI.
A game (like alien isolation for example) having an AI based algorithm so a monster can track your movement isnt GENERATIVE AI
WE ONLY DISLIKE GENERATIVE AI.
How to enjoy a fandom:
- Don't engage with discourse
- Engage with artists/creatives instead
- Block freely and often
- Try to limit your interactions to those +20 of age
- Don't become parasocial or put others on a pedestal
- Be kind and respectful to your peers
This but for me it was discovering Dungeons and Daddies. It was the one thing that brought some joy into my life even as I hit the bottom low. The fandom may be small, but they inspired me and in a few weeks I'll run my own Campaign.
let's normalize starting to really play D&D after having discovered critical role because honestly they inspired me a lot, they gave me an extra reason to survive and above all a bit of courage to try something new
Why would I want to play a game someone couldn’t even be bothered to make. Why would I want to read and listen to dialogue someone couldn’t be bothered to translate themselves. If it’s not worth the effort for a studio to make it, why would I want to play it.
