3/ My take: Google will still rank spam backlinks but you'll get punished sooner or later. The niche did the rest. Threads has no download button, the search was brand new, and a simple tool beats a 2,000-word article.

So I pulled 300 of its backlinks. Half of them are comments on random recipe and craft blogs 💀

2/ The first backlink showed up the day after the domain was registered.

152 of the 300 links use the anchor "threadsdl", which is what happens when you type your site name into the Name box on a blog comment.

Day 8 of giving out free SEO niches to build and make money. https://t.co/iDslygNTwB is only 10 months old and is pulling over 500k visitors/month as a pinterest video downloader. Seriously who even needs this tool. They have a DR of 0.5 with mostly just spam backlinks.

500k visitors is insane for a young, simple tool site like this. I think I might actually build one of these.
