@bechillcomedian@wolfkitten@AProblemSquared they do sorta lock every 90°! it's not perfect though, there's still some wobble
I tried to figure out how it works and noticed there are little notches and bumps which cause it to click into place
it gets a lot of use as a fidget toy, maybe I've just worn the bumps down 😆
@wolfkitten@AProblemSquared@bechillcomedian I think you and Bec would like my keyring 😄
it measures up to 50 cm, can be attached to your keys *and* will survive getting wet
@RainySoul01 @Schnumn sometimes I look at the same word so much that it stops looking like a real word... I think that must happen to artists and the picture they're working on too, because I *instantly* knew who this is a picture of, before I even noticed who retweeted it
@MillieCorner2 but ultimately it doesn't matter whether there are examples or not. the treatment for any problem should be based on what has been shown to produce the best outcomes for that particular problem, not whether it's similar to other treatments

@problemfellow @MillieCorner2 I wanted to link this too! 😄 it's long but it's an excellent and thought-provoking article that I've reread multiple times over the years, so I highly recommend it
@tfkf1008@TLDRNewsUK invoking section 35 is a big deal, it has never been done before
82% of UK parliament is English politicians, so UK government intervening is seen as England making decisions about Scotland
@tfkf1008@TLDRNewsUK after bills are passed by Scottish parliament, they have to "receive royal ascent" (be signed off by the monarch) before they become Scottish law
section 35 of the act which created Scottish parliament gives UK government power to stop bills from being submitted for royal ascent
@Charoncaori@ADHD_Alien I'd like to know what sort of society they think I'd function in
I'd probably starve in a hunter-gatherer society after starting 10 different ways to find food and failing to finish any of them, so not that
@willowsquest@ADHD_Alien I had to laugh at "it stopped mattering when I could set my own schedule". if there is one single thing that I absolutely cannot do, it's follow any kind of schedule of my own. nightmare is a good word to describe it
@lynneguist we (Brit) had a few lockers (nowhere near enough for everyone), but were expected to teleport from one class to the next, so even once I got one, I rarely had the chance to use it
the portrayal of locker usage in American films/TV is so bizarre to me
@jack_off_hearts@OwenJHurcum the vast majority of the "gay not queer" people I see are transphobes. reasonable people have more nuanced opinions, like this 💜
@bechillcomedian I was going to say Howl's Moving Castle but then I checked when they were both released and apparently that's not more recent?? great now I feel old 😆
@catpurr108 @daraobriain same. don't want them getting the impression the awful contraptions are a good option
plus being faced with one of these always reminds me I should be taking extra to save for later, in case the next one I encounter is yet another broken or empty one
