@edinhelp Meadowbank development pre-planning consultation seems to have only been publicised on Twitter at v short notice. Workers began cutting trees down on Marionville Rd a few days ago. Residents mostly unaware that was going to happen and why. This is not proper process.

@ndobiecka @edinhelp Only realised today how extensive the cutting was when I started seeing it from my window.
Flood lights are a horrible eyesore at night now, not to mention the sound barrier the trees provided from games and nesting ground for birds. Lived here for 3 yrs, never heard about it 🤦‍♀️

Trees being felled right outside my house for no damn reason. Wasn't informed, no chance to protest, nothing.

One of my key conditions for choosing this flat was "at least one tree". Guess that's in the past now 😭😤

@ndobiecka @edinhelp @birdinglothian - unfortunately the trees on the Marionville Road side of Meadowbank Stadium are currently being felled. This was a Sparrowhawk nesting site last year.
