Being a doctor can sometimes be too much, taking some parts of you a bit at a time. Most of the time, you don’t even notice until a huge chunk has been taken out. Hence, being mindful about your well-being and taking time off for self-care are necessary.

Today I learned how to change a flat tire from a gasoline boy who took pity on me.

When I handed him something for his efforts, he said it was too much & initially refused. I told him his kindness is priceless & insisted on it.

@joie_purplemd I wish more clinicians knew that neurolysis, ganglion blocks can be offered for pain control and palliation. Back in residency, fellowship, these were some of the my favorite procedures because of outcomes and patient satisfaction post-procedure.
