@iWomansplainer Yeah....no. We wouldnt be going on any no kids trips together for a long time. 6, 2.5 and 2 months. Its gonna be like 15+ years before thats even a thought.
@FrankBr05713205 My furnace went out christmas eve. Called around and if we didnt buy their oil they wouldnt touch it. A couple guys came out and said "oh I dont work on oil burners". Wtf. On a whim I checked the motor to pump coupler. Stripped. $6 at a local parts house. 5 minute fix.
@METAPCs I remember when a BIOS update was once in a lifecycle only in case of emergency. Now at work with our fleet of HP minis and laptops, its once every 3 months. Personal gaming PC? A few times with my old 14700k rig. Already once with my 9850 X3D.
@BigDickBarclay I have a paper shredder just for shredding the massive amounts of cardboard from Amazon. The first one recently died. MILES of cardboard through it. Bought the same one. I beat the shit out of the first one for 3 years. Every weekend.
@frankkolnacki You clean it up. I have a big tree in front that drops leaves everywhere. I get the bulk. My no tree neighbors get some when the wind blows. They never complain. During the summer the one across the street benefits from its afternoon shade.
@Rainmaker1973 "Why are you always late? You fly over traffic and trees?"
"Its this damn chute. Take about 3 hours to properly unfold and fold again into this bag. And the wind"
@tommybayertime We have anti-scald valves now. I remember getting burned in the shower in the 80s and 90s when someone flushed. By the mid-2000s, my apartment shower would go cold instead. Current house, pressure drops but temperature stays the same.
@BigDickBarclay Ive seen people silicone seal their sunroof because they couldnt figure out clogged drains. I have a flip car in my garage with a sealed roof. Im soon going to peel that crap off and clear the drains. Value go up.
