Some think the only reason for the various laws in the OT was to show us we’re all sinners in need of a savior; that’s a poor reading of the Bible. Laws reveal the character of God & the calling of the people of God. Laws function in a fallen world to restrain the effects of sin.

The spiritual and emotional abuser from my church and work who was just fired/resigned is now on social media. I feel pretty nervous that if he joins twitter he may begin to slander me and others, or our church.

1) not out of a lack of self control
2) be above reproach/know my audience
3) nothing that is tearing anyone down
