@DFX_Velo@coolsince2oo4@The4thTurtleNyC If these movies continue to under perform, Man of Tomorrow is gonna be the last dcu movie, paramount is already coming in and James contract expires next year, I don’t see a world where they’re just cool with losing money cus dc fans glaze these movies
@Mattlikesfilmz I think at bare minimum the movie adding a scene where superman is shown clearing collateral damage and his immense sorrow that innocents had to die would’ve been beneficial to the character
@ItzKrism@darkdefective@miracleman29 You mean the nation that probably has no access to outside of events since they’re in a war torn country? Lol, the movie explicitly tells you how the public has turned against him, and it GOES UNADDRESSED, Superman doesn’t resolve that in any logical way
@ItzKrism@darkdefective@miracleman29 How? He’s been saving the day for three years, how fors that ease someone’s paranoia from the message Lex Luthor dropped, since we know for a certainty that the message is real? Only if the message was fake would you have had a point.
@ItzKrism@darkdefective@miracleman29 Bro yes WE as the viewer know who Superman is and how he rejects that, but the entire world just became extremely paranoid about your existence, and it goes unaddressed, think logically for a moment, a citizen is still most likely to be paranoid about the bombshell Lex dropped
@ItzKrism@darkdefective@miracleman29 The third act proved nothing, because he’s been doing good deeds his entire time as superman, but the world just found out what you were sent to earth for, so to not have a moment where superman confronts that message to people or to Lex is a missed opportunity
@ItzKrism@darkdefective@miracleman29 he actually is, and embrace that part, while stating him being an alien doesn’t affect his love for humanity or his ability to serve it, the second reason is it’s a dialogue dump that doesn’t even address the big plot twist in the movie.
@ItzKrism@darkdefective@miracleman29 You’re arguing things i’ve never said, I don’t like the dialogue for two main reasons, him saying he’s as human as anybody else is straight up false, and is said just to make Lex and the viewer feel comfortable, It could’ve been a moment to take that term alien, since it’s what
@ItzKrism@darkdefective@miracleman29 My main issue is that who cares that he has feelings?? The world just found out your parents sent you here to conquer the planet, and he doesn’t even addres that point to Lex or the people? He just rants about how he has emotions?
@ItzKrism@darkdefective@miracleman29 My point continues to fly over yours, this a world where aliens are normal and live among people, Superman so badly wants to assimilate, that he’s not even addressing the fact why someone would even be paranoid about his existence in the first place
@ItzKrism@darkdefective@miracleman29 Not saying he rejects being an alien, but it’s the fact Lex called him an alien in a derogatory way, and Superman treats being called an alien like it’s some really offensive thing, the movie vilified his heritage, and then vilified the word alien
