@philliphaydon If you're creating a component library.. Maybe.. But most of us are well defined solutions, and this seems like a steaming pile of shit compared to the first screenshot
@traskjd That set is super cool! I was chatting to a friend about it not long ago, and he mentioned this: https://t.co/bP2vWI4FBm - a fan "inspired" combination of the 31120 set 😵
@iamspahrtacus Dev stopped with all the dotnet shenanigans and life gets in the way of meaningful contributions nowadays. Check out EarTrumpet if you need a more advanced piece of software in the same space
Tomorrow CE @traskjd is joined by Principal Engineer @xenolightning for the next ep of Founder & Friends. You can register to hear all about the creation of our recently released Public API. Bring your burning q's!

So the news is out, we've launched our Public API! 🚀
In the next ep of Founder & Friends, @traskjd sits down with Principal Engineer @xenolightning to discuss what this first step in API functionality means for you. Join us next week live on all of our channels!
I haven't made a change to the core app in a while, would take some time to get the builds up and running again. Alternatively you could look at EarTrumpet - it's a pretty awesome piece of free software, which can probably do what you need with hotkeys. https://t.co/rOXWGH8sFr
Hey! That sounds like a massive pain. The hotkeys are linked to the device id, which Audio Switcher checks on startup to see if it's available before creating the hotkey. It might be possible to add a hook when a device is added to the system to check for hotkeys.
@xenolightning Hi. Not sure if it's something you can easily "fix" but my computer connects to an AV amp but it seems like Windows doesn't see it straight away when waking from sleep. That means Audio Switcher's hotkey for that device gets removed. Is there a way to "force" it?
@Nick_Craver@marcgravell Thanks! FWIW, I'd be totally onboard with an option enabling usage of blocking commands. I did some terrible things with reflection to test the blocking functionality using StreamResult[], it worked flawlessly, "long polling" & returning multiple results

Hey @marcgravell & @Nick_Craver. I'm looking at doing a pub/sub prototype using redis streams - with StackExchange.Redis. I understand doing a BLOCK with XREADGROUP is a big no-no with the Multiplexer. Would there be any alternatives? Otherwise it'd have to be short polling?
@Nick_Craver@marcgravell Cheers for the reply. I'm happy and sad haha. That is pretty much what I mocked up as a test (see gist). That RedisResult is... uhh... less than ideal, anyway to add the blocking call to the base library? So the processing can be done as normal 😉😉🤣

@kvlly I hate this. I think everybody should always be aware of what is going on. Being a dotnet dev for such a long time, I just picked up the rust tutorial today, and I'm having such a great time. I don't think it'll ever replace my dotnet, but damn it's cool
@DonChino It got moth balled because of the windows ui changes, which felt like every second week. Whats the run down.. We still don't have something easy to do this? I haven't dared to go near windows 11 yet, out of fear
@spotlightrep He really enjoyed terrorising the office, and forcing people to play fetch with his gross tennis ball🤣
Him and his brother also have an instagram account too - give it a follow!🤓
