I finally spent an entire day setting up Perforce properly for SRCore.
Somehow, setting up version control for a UE5 Lyra project felt more complex than Lyra itself😏
The entire project base is now migrated to UE 5.7.
Rider made the code migration almost painless, and now that Perforce is configured properly, I can already see how powerful it is.
Backups verified. Version control working. Clean foundation ready.
Apparently, version control was the real boss fight. Now I can finally get back to building the game.

Yesterday I watched my Unreal project implode --> deleted files, broken branches, corrupted assets… the whole nightmare.
For a moment it felt like everything was gone.
But after hours of digging through backups, restoring logic, reinstalling visual, fixing compiling errors, fixing branches, and performing straight-up digital surgery… I brought it back.
Always backup. Seriously. That safety net saved my entire game.
🔹 External HDD backup
🔹 Git revision control
🔹 Rider Local History
If you're a dev: BACKUP.
Future you will thank you.

Here is the current SRCore stress test.
Seeing how far I can push SRCore before things start breaking.
There is still more performance potential to unlock.

@ReissadStudio Faster breathing, harder faster louder heartbeat, focused view, fumbling reloads, shaky aiming, more recoil, slower reactions and other factors, all changing dynamically, something like that would be amazing🔥
@delaigrodela Developing a game in a warzone is a completely different kind of grind.
Respect for the persistence it takes to keep creating under these conditions.
I wish you protection, calm, and perseverance and hopefully the chance to work in safer conditions, even temporarily. Stay safe.
Steam has been very cautious with crypto and blockchainrelated tech, likely due to consumer protection, legal uncertainty, and the difficulty of reconciling external token economies with Steams own marketplace and refund systems.
Given the volatility and bad actors in the crypto space, it makes sense that Valve prefers to mitigate unknown risks. That said, there may be compliant ways to explore integration outside of direct monetization, but it's understandable why Steam moves slowly here.
