today my assaulter was permanently removed from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. there remains what seems to be an impenetrable wall of silence around sexual violence. we must all play a role in breaking the silence. i will be yr ally and witness if u say “me too” #MeToo 💔
What we witnessed yesterday was not dissent — it was disorder.
They weren’t protestors — they were rioters, insurrectionists, and domestic terrorists.
I wish we could say we couldn’t see it coming, but that isn’t true. We could.
No one can tell me that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protestors yesterday that they wouldn’t have been treated very differently than the mob that stormed the Capitol.
We all know that’s true — and it’s unacceptable.
