Usata più volte come un pallone per giocare a pallavolo da un gruppo di ragazzini: la lanciavano in aria, poi la colpivano con forza per schiacciare. Ma al posto del pallone, fra le loro mani c’era una gattina. Viva. Ancora cucciola, di pochi mesi, piccola, facile da prendere: pesava meno di un chilo. Una gatta di strada, come tanti, nei pressi del Verano.

A luglio del 2025 un passante ha visto la gattina accasciata sulla strada, ferita, ormai in fin di vita. L’ha raccolta e l’ha portata al gattile del Verano, una storica colonia felina gestita dai volontari dell’associazione Animal Welfare Odv. La gatta è stata chiamata Elettra: oltre alle ferite gravissime su tutto il corpo, Elettra aveva sviluppato danni neurologici permanenti e soffriva di costanti tremolii alla testa. È stata curata per otto mesi dai volontari dell’associazione. Ma non c’è stato nulla da fare

And now here we our about to start the third tour. I’ve got a really really good feeling about this. That’s not some bullshit marketing ploy to make you come to the show, I genuinely haven’t ever felt this assured about the show we’re about to put on. If you’re reading this and you’re a fan, don’t underestimate your importance in how I feel professionally. Now if I’m real with myself I’m sure there will be a few moments where I get in my own head but after all these years I feel so protected by you all in those spaces. I literally can’t fucking wait for these shows.

Will it be a performance worthy of a vocal Olympian? No

Will it be the best selling show of the year? No

Will it be a show with numerous lyric sheets on stage like we’re in the stone age before autocue? Maybe

What it will be though is a moment for all of us to celebrate how far we’ve all come. Diary entries over. Just wanted to update you on what was going on in my head.
