Vice President Sara Duterte’s Office liquidated a Youth Summit with just mere certifications

One of the lies Duterte supporters often tell is from a former congressman and now fugitive, “Atty Harry Roque” — saying that the Congress and Senate only submit certifications to liquidate their funds. That couldn’t be more wrong, they too are subject to regular audit and no line item in their budget is confidential!

To my surprise, it was Vice President Sara Duterte who submitted just mere certifications to liquidate and/ or justify a “Youth Leadership Summit”. No receipts, proof of purchase or whatever. Just mere certifications from different military authorities. That’s Php 112.5 Million pesos!

Conduct of training and project management? I know these like the back of hand. Even training with representatives from all regions and provinces which lasted for seven whole days, with accommodations, air fare, allowances, payment for the project team and honorarium for top notch resource speakers will not cost the government Php 112.5 million pesos. There is no way that’s possible.

I have two issues here 1) Why do they need to use confidential funds for this?  Why can’t they do this like everyone else and go through the right process? 2) Where are all the receipts? Or proof that such events actually happened

While all the supporters of the Vice President justified the confidential funds of DepEd as making sure the students are safe and other anti-insurgency campaigns, the records show otherwise. Imagine! Purchase of information for car loan scams. Lols!

You have a lot of explaining to do, Madam Vice President.
