I read through all the replies you sent me, and seeing that some Lainz were disappointed with todayโs concert has honestly left me so upset that I canโt fall asleep
First, I saw that some people felt the concert was too short, but think it probably felt shorter than usual because there wasnโt ๋ฐ๋กฏ์ฝ (๐the segment where we walk around near the audience) but I really hope people wonโt say things like, โThey donโt care about Villains anymore,โ or โThey skipped it because they couldnโt be bothered.โ
In fact, we really wanted to do it. Up until right before we arrived at the venue, we were fully expecting to. We had already planned which songs weโd sing while walking around. We even chose songs like โStrawberry Cakeโ and โLittle Things,โ songs that werenโt on the main setlist, and we had already decided what weโd perform both today and tomorrow. We were so excited to see Lainz up close and singing these together. But when we arrived at the venue, for reasons we ourselves still donโt know, the ๋ฐ๋กฏ์ฝ was suddenly canceled that same day. We had no choice but to skip it
I know Lainz couldnโt have known that, so I understand why people were even more disappointed. Still, when something like this happens, instead of immediately saying things like, โWhy are you guys so lazy?โ or โNow that youโve gotten bigger, you think youโre something?โ I hope youโll first think, โMaybe thereโs a reason why things turned out this way,โ and not lose your trust in us
Actually, I was really upset too. That time is incredibly precious to us because itโs our chance to get closer to the people who traveled so far to see us and personally thank them. Iโm so disappointed that we had to send Lainz home without being able to do that
I also saw a lot of Bubble messages saying the setlist was disappointing. I think setlists are naturally a matter of personal preference, so itโs completely understandable that people will have different opinions. Feedback like, โI hope you play this song next time,โ is always welcome because we can actually use that when preparing future concerts.
But comments like, โWhy did you put together such a lazy setlist?โ or โThis setlist makes it obvious you didnโt even care about the concert,โ arenโt very helpful from our perspective. It just feels like you're venting your emotions in an immature way because you're angry and annoyed. If you want to give feedback, I think it would be more helpful to tell me where and how you were disappointed.
I can honestly say, hand on my heart, that every single time we make a setlist, we spend a huge amount of time thinking about how to make it fun for as many Lainz as possible without making it feel predictable. Of course, we think thatโs exactly what we should be doing.
This concertโs theme was โSummer Hell,โ so we built the setlist around that concept. I completely understand why people missed songs like Sucker Punch, Little Things, or Pluto. Even I felt a little strange because itโs been a long time since weโve done a concert without those songs.
But at the same time, I thought only relying on our familiar songs would make things feel too predictable. Thatโs why we wanted to bring something fresh by including songs we rarely perform, like Undefined, and even songs weโd never performed before, like Joyful Joyful.
On top of that, we also had to prioritize including seven new songs, so it simply wasnโt possible to perform every song we wanted. Either way, if the setlist disappointed you, Iโm truly sorry. I just hope youโll understand that we didnโt throw it together carelessly or without thought.
greeting fans with โWELCOME TO SUMMER HELLโ and then setting the stage on fire while performing their hit song โfireโ is such an xdiz thing to do
helium balloonโs bridge sounds 10x sadder live what the hell ๐ญ
โTick-tock tick-tock
I know it's time to let it go
Leaving behind the good memories
I still love you
Even though I can't reach you anymore
I only wish for your happinessโ
