The worst case electricity cost in CA is about $0.45kwh which is about 12c/mi in a Tesla. California's average gas price is $6. In a 40mpg Corolla that's 15c/mi.

@VincenzoPala @niccruzpatane Tesla had sold less than 200k cars by 2017 & over 8.5 million since then. Battery technology & reliability has gotten way better. So even if a 10yr-old battery has to be replaced (which isn't even true) that's not a reflection of what today's batteries will be like in 10 years.

@itsrickyszn @SawyerMerritt @Starlink Not true. Southwest has free wi-fi now. But both it and Delta's suck. It's painfully slow when it works. Then constantly cuts out your entire flight. Makes getting any work done, or streaming video very difficult.

@DevinOlsenn @Heavyxb666 But how accurate are the stats? If you're supervising, see FSD is about to crash and hit the brake or turn the wheel - FSD disengages. If you still crash, is that counted as an FSD accident or manual driving? at the point of impact FSD was off and you were technically in control

@DevinOlsenn When I tried FSD a few months ago I'd get fed up with FSD's decisions and have to take over after not too long. I'm sure you're trying to push adoption, but to most your post will feed into the generalization Tesla owners are precious snowflakes who think driving is a nightmare.

@elonmusk What is considered a FSD accident? It's FSD supervised, so logically if people are actually supervising, if an accident is about to happen they intervene. So they hit the brakes or jerk the wheel but are still unable to avoid the crash, does that count as a manually driven crash?
