#Exposed: Saudi Somalia Training Camps and Ethiopia’s Tigray Blood Trade Feeding Sudan’s Muslim Brotherhood War 🇪🇹🇸🇩🇸🇴🇸🇦
In the shadows of the Horn of Africa, a deadly pipeline of exploitation is devouring young lives for a war they never chose. Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has pulled back the curtain on one of the most harrowing scandals unfolding in Tigray: recruiters are snatching local youth often little more than children and trafficking them across the border to slaughter in Sudan’s merciless civil war. These boys and girls aren’t warriors; they’re cannon fodder, dying in a foreign bloodbath whose causes they can’t even name. https://t.co/cCdD3JaDox
This isn’t random chaos. It’s part of a larger, cynical machine. Sudan’s Armed Forces (SAF), deeply entangled with Muslim Brotherhood networks and Islamist brigades like al-Baraa bin Malik, have turned the conflict into a vehicle for ideological resurgence. Decades of Brotherhood influence have embedded hardliners into the military structure, using the war to rebuild power, import foreign fighters, and pursue dominance along the Red Sea. Young Ethiopians are just disposable pieces in this game sacrificed to prop up a regime that’s revived Islamist militias and drawn in external backers. https://t.co/dGogmae0Sn
Saudi Role and the Somali Pipeline
Saudi Arabia’s fingerprints are all over the escalation. Riyadh is pouring resources into a massive training program in Somalia’s Galgaduud region, where over 5,000 Somali recruits many young and impressionable are being drilled by foreign mercenaries from Romania, Ukraine, South Africa, and Colombia. This Saudi-funded operation, dressed up as “security assistance,” raises alarming questions about where these newly minted fighters will ultimately deploy. Reports suggest pipelines flowing toward Sudan, feeding more bodies into the SAF’s meat grinder. https://t.co/Dzp6wG53xZ
While Saudi officials posture against extremism at home, their actions abroad tell a different story tolerating or enabling networks that align with Brotherhood-linked forces in theaters like Sudan and Yemen. This external meddling doesn’t stabilize; it inflames. It turns desperate regions into proxy battlegrounds, where African youth pay the ultimate price for geopolitical chess moves and ideological ambitions. Tigrayan families watch their children disappear into this abyss, while Somali camps churn out more recruits for conflicts that serve distant patrons.
The shock is visceral: impoverished young men and boys, some barely teenagers, forcibly conscripted, trafficked, and thrown into a war machine greased by Islamist resurgence and Gulf funding. This isn’t defense, it’s a modern slave trade for endless conflict, where the Muslim Brotherhood’s shadow over the SAF, amplified by Saudi-backed training pipelines, devours the next generation. Ethiopia and the wider region deserve better than becoming hunting grounds for such predatory interference. The international community must confront this exploitation before more innocents are “sold to die” in someone else’s war.
