Sometimes a small note tells a big story.

An Israeli fighter pilot of Kurdish descent sent a short message from the cockpit:

“Dear Zakan family
Greetings from Zakho, on the way to Tehran
See you soon ❤️”

Zakho is a historic Kurdish city in Kurdistan – the city from which his family originates.

Between the skies of the Middle East and his Kurdish roots, this small note reflects identity, heritage and mission.

Members of the Kurdish Jewish community are part of every layer of Israeli society – including the skies, serving in the elite units of the Israeli Air Force.

Since yesterday until today, there has been significant movement by the Qatari, Saudi, and Turkish Arab lobby to halt the Kurdish Protection Law, with large sums of money reportedly being spent for this purpose through individuals in Washington and even in Europe.

To the Kurdish people and friends everywhere: stand united and raise the voice of our people in Rojava. With our determination, we will defeat the weak-minded, their money, and their terror.

No to jihadists, no to Al-Qaeda, and no to ISIS.
