A little perspective on what it takes to build $POTATCHI. 🥔

Launching a project in this space is expensive. Development, infrastructure, verification, listings, liquidity, community tools, games, security, and everything that comes afterward require real funding.

You think trading fees alone are enough? Nah. 😅 Wait until you see what some major exchange listings and integrations can cost.

From the beginning, the team allocated 40% of the supply to the treasury. The purpose is to support the project’s long-term development, treasury operations, distribution initiatives, and efforts to reduce unnecessary volatility. That allocation is disclosed, and we want the community to be able to track what happens with it.

And look at what we’ve accomplished in just a few days:

Right now, our biggest focus is verification and infrastructure. This is normally one of the slowest parts of building a new project. Some verifications can take weeks or even months.

Yet within only a few days, $POTATCHI has already achieved onchain verification, a CoinGecko listing, and listings across other platforms without paying for the standard listing itself.

We originally paid for CoinGecko’s expedited process, and according to our contact, because the token was accepted through the free listing process, that expedited payment is expected to be refunded. We’ll keep the community updated on that.

What comes next? 🥔🔥

Once the remaining verification work is completed, our attention moves heavily toward distribution and utility.

That includes the Community Burn + 1:1 Treasury Match, interactive games and experiences for the community, supply-locking mechanisms, and a detailed public breakdown showing how designated portions of the treasury are intended to be used.

Transparency around the treasury is especially important because some automated token scanners may flag $POTATCHI due to the concentration of supply among the largest wallets. Rather than asking anyone to simply trust us, our goal is to make the wallets, allocations, burns, locks, and treasury movements verifiable onchain.

Sometimes an announcement may be interpreted differently from what we intended, and for that, I apologize. We’ll continue working to communicate everything as clearly as possible.

But one thing has remained consistent since Day 1:

No KOL alpha.
No insider allocations.
No hidden team wallets.
No secret side wallets.

We want $POTATCHI to grow because people genuinely want to participate in the community, not because the team is manufacturing activity behind the scenes.

I said this before: we’re not rich. But we also don’t want to feed our families with money that came from manipulating the people who trusted us.

We’re here to build something transparent, sustainable, and community-driven.

We’ve developed a smart contract for 1:1 community burn matching, with 50M POTATCHI allocated by the team as the matching reserve.

The contract’s source code is verified on Sourcify, with the verification record accessible through Blockscout. Source verification makes the code inspectable.

Once the matching reserve is funded and the feature opens:

🔥 You contribute 10,000 POTATCHI.
🔥 The contract matches another 10,000.
🔥 A total of 20,000 POTATCHI is burned, recorded on Robinhood Chain.

10,000 is only an example, not a required amount. Choose your contribution, up to the available matching reserve.

If the full reserve is matched, that’s 100M POTATCHI burned together.
