28-year-old man identified as Marji Daoud fatally shot to the head and a 33-year-old woman was injured in a shooting at 2690 University Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights, Bronx, New York, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Wednesday at approximately 4:57 PM, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at 2690 University Avenue, in the Kingsbridge Heights neighborhood of Bronx, New York. Upon arrival, officers observed a 28-year-old man identified as Marji Daoud with a gunshot wound to his head. EMS responded and transported Daoud to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Additionally, police were alerted of a second victim, a 33-year-old woman, who was transported by private means to NYC Health and Hospitals/Woodhull with a gunshot wound to the left hip and at this time she is listed in stable condition. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD. Investigators with the Crime Scene Unit marked several shell casings at the crime scene and collected evidence following the shooting.
