Hey Arnold! was really good at making ordinary childhood moments feel important. No big adventure, no huge lesson — just the neighborhood covered in snow and a bunch of kids enjoying the day while it lasted.
Hey Arnold! introduced Lila through a story about poverty, but never defined her by it. Her home life simply gave us context for who she was — something the show was remarkably good at doing with its characters.
