SAVING A BABY SNAKE’S LIFE 🐍
Assist-feeding a baby Ball Python

So today I witnessed them trying to save this tiny baby ball python. It hadn’t eaten for 4 weeks since hatching they tried everything: live and frozen/thawed prey, rats, mice, ASFs, different prey sizes… but the snake still refused to eat. At that point, it’s at serious risk of starvation and organ failure.

Assist-feeding became the last option. It’s something only used to save its life and jumpstart its appetite. Once the baby finally understands what food is, it often starts eating on its own. 🐍

⚠️ Important: This method should NEVER be used on a snake that has eaten on its own before, or one refusing food because of stress, illness, or poor care. In those situations, a qualified reptile vet is the right solution.
