The National Assembly of Zimbabwe is pushing for the extension of its presidential term from 5 to 7 years.
This is the same story for a majority of African countries, they start out as democratic shifts begin to happen then autocracy sets in.
The justification for this is that always they need more time to implement agendas and ensure “stability” which would benefit the country. In most cases, however, no real work is done, closer to election day. Then the propaganda begins.
