A foreign national was reportedly chased out of a Home Affairs office after allegedly attempting to bribe officials to obtain a permanent residence permit.

A brave South African woman 🇿🇦 confronted him, telling him that what he was allegedly doing was illegal and that he should respect South Africa’s immigration laws.

This will be our office for the next two days. The President of the country is in court wanting to stop Parliament from holding him accountable and investigating his possible breaches to the Constitution. He is citing reputational damage and public humiliation if the process continues.

We are arguing against that. Firstly, courts can’t stop Parliament from doing its work. Secondly, the courts can’t view the perceived reputational damage of the President as something that supersedes the Constitutional obligation of Parliament to hold the Executive accountable.

Ekurhuleni March and March Leader Dies Days After Being Gunned Down Outside His Home as Movement Members Continue Receiving Death Threats Across the Country Over it's Anti-Illegal Immigration Stance

The anti-illegal immigration movement March and March has confirmed the death of its Ekurhuleni leader, Andile Somgxada, who was allegedly assassinated. Somgxada was shot while leaving his home on 4 July and was rushed to hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries last Thursday, according to the movement.

March and March spokesperson Sandile Dube said the organisation has been receiving death threats because of its stance on illegal migration. Dube confirmed that threats have been directed at members across South Africa, linking them to the movement's campaign against undocumented migration.

Speaking on behalf of the organisation, Dube said March and March members continue to face intimidation. He stated that the movement has received numerous death threats throughout the country for advocating what it believes is in the best interests of South Africans, following Somgxada's fatal shooting.

Somgxada's death has now been officially confirmed by the movement following his hospitalisation after the shooting. March and March maintains that its members are facing ongoing threats, while raising concerns about the safety of its leaders and supporters across South Africa.
