Sure, the universe expands faster than light speed, but not in a way that breaks Einstein’s rules. Space itself is stretching, and the farther apart two points are, the faster they recede from each other. Beyond a certain distance, called the Hubble horizon, that recession speed exceeds light speed. Nothing’s moving through space faster than light—space itself is just getting bigger. So distant galaxies can slip out of our observable universe forever.
