Jose actually forced Martial back into left wing, told him to get defensively good, took away his #9 against his will and barely spoke to him szn 1.

Then, in 17-18, martial got 11 goals and 9 assists between August to Jan. elite #s that could give u a 22goal 18 assist szn. Yet… He repeatedly kept talking abt his defensive work. Eventually bought Alexis, and never started him again except for 1 game. After that game, he did an aggressive interview asking if we the fans and media can now see why Martial doesnt play. Jose Mourinho, like he did with Luke Shaw, mentally abused Anthony Martial. Ander Herrera is wording it like “he’s bad with criticism”. The reality is Jose is criticising things that never existed, or made up fake problems. Martial didnt take it well because it was fucking bullshit.
