4 years ago today, I purchased CryptoPunk #3831.

What was meant to be my first and final purchase of a major artwork, turned into the birth of The Medici Collection.

And for that, today I feel grateful.

In these 4 years, art has flipped my life upside down.

Opened my eyes to new possibilities, put me in the middle of a once-in-a-lifetime art renaissance, and allowed for friendship with artists, collectors and critics I never thought possible.

While it hasn’t always been obvious what comes next, today I feel we are all rowing in the same boat, in the same direction:

To cement our movement as the defining one of this lifetime.

If you’re here as an artist…

If you’re here as a collector…

If you’re here as a writer or critic… or gallerist or dealer…

I commend you for your contribution, no matter how big or little.

Each one of you matter, each one of you make the movement what it is.

Today, I feel more confident than ever in saying:

We are here to stay.

And together, we will add a new chapter to the art history books than will be studied by generations to come.
