The anti-data center people are the same idiots who fought the war against fracking of natural gas in the state of Pennsylvania, aka now the Saudi Arabia of natural gas. Revenue from fracking -- royalties and mineral rights -- made thousands of farmers and landholders into millionaires in the state and put hundreds of millions of free revenue into the coffers of dying municipalities and towns. (In NY, by the way, fracking is still illegal.)
