@BskiMike22802 Now go cash your gun-manufacturers' check, you stooge.
And because you're a conservative and incapable of empathy, you think someone's trying to make you "feel responsible". Sorry pal, they're just hoping that, like a human being *should*, you feel for the bereaved. But not you.
@glennbeck Funny how you didn't complain about the 5 weeks in 2024. CA is *huge* (in terms of voters). It takes a while -- and I can't help wondering if they're another state whose R's have prevented them from counting early arriving votes before election day.
@RapidResponse47 Will it still reflect? None of the "pictures" that I've seen show any reflection. Since the point of the pool was the "reflection", this had better not be gone.
@Wired2Jam@TrisH0x2A YES! With very few, and nearly all very *short*, exceptions, all my functions have 2 exit points: one in the normal case and one in the error case.
@TrisH0x2A You are taught never to use goto, just as you are taught (I *hope*) never to use the passive voice. And once, while in school, you've *learned* how to code without goto and write without the passive, *then* you have the experience to know how to use both *judiciously*.
@Tinfoil_Truther You know history text books in the US basically all have to be approved by Texas. Perhaps this is changing, but it was certainly true when you growing up. So if you didn't read about something in your history books, it's because the TX board of education decided it wasn't worthy.
@JackJackL3mk3@TheEXECUTlONER_ Apparently this is a sort of "belt-and-suspenders" thing they teach you little league ("turn to *right* after overrunning first base") but it's not an actual rule. Or at least that's what I'm gathering from some other threads. I don't recall even being taught to turn to the right
@KenRowland77@TheEXECUTlONER_ I was *totally* ready to believe this, though I see from the replies that it appears not to be true. But at least *that* would have made sense. Now we're back to "how the *hell* do you think the runner made a move towards second"?
@KenRowland77@JoshuaTown3699@TheEXECUTlONER_ I *did* and I don't recall being taught that, but then I was playing in the '70's and early '80's, my memory isn't what it used to be, and my coaches may simply have never covered it.
@TheEXECUTlONER_ The runner never even crosses back into "fair" territory after crossing first. How can you *possibly* argue he "made the move" towards second that would make him vulnerable to a tag?
@TrisH0x2A The point of having the "return code" model is that you can you make each error message unique with all the information that you need to have a decent shot at diagnosing the problem just from the error messages.
*But* I agree that "goto error" is *absolutely* the cleanest way.
@Hunter19302 CA and NY (and others) should create "radial" districts that are anchored in their cities and then expand out into the rural areas so that CA will produce 50+ D's, NY 20+ D, etc. And *then* say "but if we make a *national* standard, we'll re-redistrict to *that*".
