@fashionroadman Although I have to agree with you on this one, I also think it’s way too soon to make such statements. Dior is DIOR, and although Jonathan is a great designer, he comes from a house which has little to do with it. I (want to) believe that time will help him define his own Dior
The clothes, the set, the performance, the styling, the sexyness, the references, the silhouettes, the tayloring, the theatrics, the walks, the cut outs. Thank you for the service Haider #TFSS26
Daniel Roseberry gets to do something different and original each couture season without losing a bit of the essence of the house. Like each collection has a special and unique vibe to it but you can still genuienly see Schiaparelli in all of them.
Spring 2025 Haute Couture week kicks off tomorrow and this is what I’m most excited about:
- Schiaparelli opening the week as always (27/01)
- Alessandro Michele’s couture debut at Valentino (29/01)
- Jean Paul Gaultier x Ludovic de Saint Sernin (29/01)
Jacquemus screaming demure back again. The simplicity on La Croisière’s color palette, allowed all the attention to lay on its sophisticated as well as fun geometry, that could possibly make one think about Balenciaga’s 60s couture.
Very excited to see his Couture, although his first collection at the Maison will be Spring Summer 2025 during next PFW (Valentino won’t present any collection for the following Menswear and Couture seasons)
