🇱🇻 Latvia plans to accept cryptocurrency for tax payments starting in 2027.

Latvia has approved an initiative to allow taxes to be paid in cryptocurrency. The launch is planned for 2027, but the payment infrastructure is still being developed, and the list of supported coins has yet to be determined.

Parliament has also approved a crypto investment account regime: taxes will be triggered when withdrawals exceed the amount deposited, rather than after every individual transaction.
