Just finished lunch with Jain Couple ( old friends) while chatting about current politics . They are adamant about voting for Modi as India's image has improved around the world( their logic)

Patiently listening to them and asked them (as Husband is Sr Vice President with JP Morgan and wife is Vice President with leading private sector bank ) decisions should be based upon facts rather than rethoric, they agreed !

I give them certain data points

1.India's passport ranking is slipped from 76th ( 2014 ) to 80th (2024) Henley passport index .

2.FDI with respect to GDP has decreased from 1.7%(2016) to .5% ( 2024)

3. 9 Indian students have been killed in the USA so far in 2024.

4. We have recalled our only internationally placed army at Maldives .

5. China is enchrocing our land as God sends speed.

6. Online trolling by senseless supporters of ruling regime to anybody who didn't agree with them (including foreign nationals)

7. Insult to the biggest icon of India (Mahatma Gandhi) by various people on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram .

Etc etc

Finally, they promised me to vote for the INDIA Alliance candidate..

Small but significant achievement.
