False peace based on disorder, with the excuse of having peace applies in a city where, on the pretext of not wishing to upset anyone, criminals would be allowed to commit their misdeeds. Peace, the fruit of the Holy Spirit, is the absence of unrest.
May she, the ‘Mother of Unity’, in whose womb the Son of God was united with humanity, inaugurating mystically the nuptial union of the Lord with all men, help us to be ‘one’ and to become instruments of unity, among Christians and among all men. Pope St. John Paul II
We should always foster everything that is an occasion for mutual understanding and concord. If on some occasion we are not able to praise, we should say nothing. In the words of the Liturgy: May we overcome today all envy and dissension. St. Josemaria Escriva
My brothers and sisters please keep in mind, “A brother helped is like a strong city,
but quarreling is like the bars of a castle.” (Proverbs 18:19, RSVCE)
Unity is closely linked to personal ascetic struggle to be better, to be more united to Christ. There is very little we can do in our work for the whole Church if we have not attained close intimacy with Our Lord Jesus: if we are not really with him.
@minijeegolff Peace and joy to you Minjee. I am well; thanks for asking. No, it was not me. I’m so happy for you that you have so many fans that desire a connection. Keep up the work, make the best use of your God-given talent. I’m certain He is proud of the good you’ve done and continue to do
The greater our responsibility (parents, teachers, priests, superiors ...), the greater also our obligation to have peace and joy to give to others, and the greater the urgency of recovering it when its habitual possession has been interrupted or disturbed.
As Co-redemptrix, Mary understands and suffers. Her Son can no longer feel; she can. Thus to the end, is the prophecy of Simeon fulfilled: a sword shall pierce your own soul. Today, Mary, alone, guards the faith of the Church.
@father_rmv Bless you Father, for instructing, a true servant of Our Lord. I was unaware of the indulgence. I was planning to attend tonight but you have given me another reason to attend. I will offer my indulgence for a soul in purgatory. May that soul bless you, through Our Lord Jesus.
@Vitus_osst Please pray for my family members that they will return to the sacraments, the Church, love of God, Holy Mary and St. Joseph. And for my spouse, that through the intercession of Holy Mary and St. Joseph, Our Lord, the Divine Physician, restore normal functioning of her kidneys.
Christian virtues are what we must put into practice in our everyday lives, and in all circumstances, whether these be easy, troublesome, or very difficult.
Through virtues, loyalty, truthfulness, affection, courtesy we prepare our soul in the best way for the action of the Holy Spirit. Thus it is easy to understand that it’s not possible to believe in the sanctity of those who fail to live even the most elementary human virtues.
If you say, “Show me your God,” I will say to you, “Show me what kind of person you are, and I will show you my God.” Show me then whether the eyes of your mind can see, and the ears of your heart hear.
Prayer is the way God trains us to live freely and confidently in His care. Christ tells us to be true to our need to depend on Him: Ask, seek, knock, you will find.
Thus, the person who lives shut up in his own egoism, who doesn’t seek the good but only his comfort or pleasure, will have a difficult time believing or understanding a noble ideal.
If one is without the desire to believe and to do the will of God in everything, whatever the cost, one will simply not accept even what is glaringly evident.
What care ought we to take of the frequent confession of our faults and sins, if this sacrament cleanses us and disposes us to see the Lord more clearly already here on earth!
