@PlayMTG Didn't it already begin? Aren't you guys proud of Magic: The Gathering presents Marvel's Spider-Man one of your top 10 best selling sets of all time?
@SlimeKuro I mean yeah, they're making too much shit. We know that and everyone there also knows it, but they are quite literally the only thing keeping Hasbro in the black so they are going to beat that horse until it stops bleeding money.
Devastating ratio, if I was Joey I'd do something that I can't say or else I'd get banned.
Hunter Biden being a generational poster is an insane twist in the season 2026 storyline but I'm with it
We love when a card name lends itself so well to an eventual in universe reprint. Regrettably Annie Wu art + Wanda my smallest romani representation queen means I will be buying one marvel card now. lord forgive me
@Pawg_Alf@idiothead25 you’re just tired of hearing people criticize. I get it it dominates the discussion right now but the marvel sets have been really bad on a creative and craft level, if you want to talk about performativeness pretending like “welcome to the raft pal” is good kind of wins here.
@Pawg_Alf@idiothead25 because it’s referring to a creature that has to be subdued first. I already answered this. I don’t know what to tell you these draft cards are balance first flavor second i’m just giving you the post-hoc explanation implied by the art. Again this was a commentary on flavor text.
@Pawg_Alf@idiothead25 do you think mechanics can only refer to one specific thing? Again I don’t really know what this argument is imprisoning magic has several flavors, and creatures are tapped for many reasons in limited. Arguably more often by etb and activated abilities than in constructed
@BadHorseBad@wizards_magic posting gifs and emojis like you’re the worlds most acceptable middle manager doesn’t make you’re incoherent points or weird dickriding any better man
@Pawg_Alf@idiothead25 tapping is not explicitly indicative of attacking in magic. The implication of the art in seal away is that the thing couldn’t be killed so it had to be imprisoned by the Benalish.
@BadHorseBad@wizards_magic You’re parroting shit from fandom pulse and crying about stargate because of women or whatever on main. It’s my fault for engaging seriously with you my bad
@SadTreachery yeah those people are just contrarians. I think by and large people separate aesthetic from story and the amount you care about either one is not necessarily related
@TamamoTailFluff@OliverTomajko I mean marvel lore is similar to magic lore in that way, actually in that it’s been going for a long time and there is no u died creative vision across that time so you get huge tonal shifts when creative shake ups happen. Same for any large shared creative writing project
@_B_RICE_ i broadly agree. I mean a job is still a job at the end of the day and you’re putting in effort appropriate for your level of interest in any given task
