"Just be yourself.
Read what people are saying and give your thoughts."
funny advice, since just "being yourself" is almost never enough
the main thing every other X guide misses is that you actually need things to say, and value to share, otherwise you’re just another sloppy profile desperately farming yaps
a proper KOL earned followers by bringing value, and you’re lucky if this comes natural to you
your "X Edge" can be soft skills (charisma, humor, wit, non-technical stuff etc)
examples: @0xRacist, @GwartyGwart
or it can be hard skills (trading, TA, in-depth analysis, on-chain etc)
examples: @game_for_one, @zachxbt
congrats if you combine both, being a KOL is a perfect fit
examples: @katexbt, @redhairshanks86, @VannaCharmer
otherwise, the only way to become a decent KOL is to first build a decent personality
i like this perspective since it makes the grind not only about money: aspiring to be a KOL also pushes you to become a better version of yourself
imagine becoming more versatile, more interesting, smarter, funnier, developing practical skills, learning to express your thoughts publicly, expanding your social circle, and eventually start earning from it
social media presence is definitely EV+ but only if done right
the art of ragebaiting is, for sure, an art
you gotta have something in you to make ppl dislike a piece of information so much they can’t ignore it
they end up quoting it, telling everyone how much they hate it
@solana should consider giving a bonus to the guy who came up with that Breakpoint commercial idea, this went really well
become a proud Monad community member holding a token with no real utility that you bought at a pretty high valuation, or else you’ll be punished in the future
why make it useful or yield-bearing for ppl to hold? just tell them they won’t get allocation next time
garbage
if you intend to flip your monad token within the first 5 secs trading goes live, read this
my only concern here is they mentioned a penalty for taking profit - if any
but there’s no full refund policy if monad goes below the sale price after 30 days
now that Coinbase acquired Echo, I expect more sales with better terms and fair valuations such as $BASE token ICO
also does selling on arbitrum otc desk count?
- no kyc = can't play with big boys, e.g. every other crypto card out there
- most of them don't have enough revenue
- same as kyc
- nobody really cares about this, UX is king
what if the playbook was this simple:
take an existing app with PMF and just:
- remove KYC
- cut fees
- remove geo blocks
- decentralize
that alone wins for a dozen use cases
My Base thesis:
Not many ecosystems make you root for them without dangling incentives, moonshots, or the usual hype.
Base does.
From my first transaction when it went live to now being obsessed with the Base App, I’ve grown in crypto alongside it. In many ways, Base has had a huge impact on my own journey.
I’ve joined Base-focused communities. Built here. Stayed aligned here.
Folks often ask me: Why Base? Because I made money here.
Lol, kidding. (Am I?)
I started out chasing opportunities everywhere. That helped in my early years.
Then I got active on Farcaster. Became part of @callusfbi from day zero. Helped build Wildcard. Now, at @HeyElsaAI, we have been Base aligned from day 1.
This gave me a close look at how Base works and why it’s such a force.
They understand and nurture regional aspirations. They back builders relentlessly.
@jessepollak and team’s obsession is contagious. You can’t help but recommend Base to others.
Crypto is a level playing field. Anyone can win here, no matter their background. Base embodies that. I’ve seen builders, creators, and participants go from 0 to heroes in this ecosystem. The sincerity, honesty, and conviction behind Base have made so many dreams possible.
So indeed, Base is for everyone.
And it still feels like day one.
every -maxxing is a natural response to having no control over your own life in a grand scheme of things
you don’t get to decide who wins elections, you can’t control the economic environment
basically, you can’t control shit
you either start religiously controlling what you actually can, or you just get more depressed every year
