Okay, want to comment on this one and will try to be unbiased. @9gagceo and I talk a lot on @Memeland strategy in short and long term. While I am fully confident in him and the team, I often offer provoking thoughts as well. Here’s my takes:

1) First, the simple one first. I know the team is working on the PFP arts. I didn’t look at the drafts personally but Ray did mention they look very good with the internal review. I think on this, team can probably communicate more regularly because community has been longing for the arts.

2) Yet, on overall communication, I am 50/50. While I think founders have to be more transparent in web3 but I also reckon how much noise there would be if constantly communicating the progress but not the outcome. I understand the concerns when floor price isn’t moving as much vs other NFTs are ripping, but the space always loves the shiny things (the new tokens) and tend to forget track records. It’s important to appreciate both the existing and the new ones, which lead to point 3.

3) One success will change every sentiment. We will agree that the community sentiment now is like pre-TGE sentiment. I talked almost every day with Ray pre-TGE. Even though the progress wasn’t communicated in public there were a lot cooking. Community got to realise lots of things have to be cooked behind the scene. The marketing of $pain has merely started, let’s judge only if it fails. IMO though, they are on the right direction for $pain.

4) However, I do have challenged Ray on his views re NFTs vs tokens. IMO we need to shift focus more towards the NFTs instead of just Stakeland. I reckon Stakeland is a very smartly designed platform to reward OGs, but I also strongly believe NFTs are the core of the cult and values have to be sustainably and continuously accrue to NFTs while day by day passes for token dripping. Ray does know the market’s latest and I appreciate he’s constantly playing by ears.

5) We talk about adoptions a lot. Be it the index product, or Memepay, they are getting web2 people access to web3 in a relatively not an overwhelming way. I think few are executing on that front beyond just tweeting about it. Yet, I agree that we have to regularly revisit what’s the flywheel here in order to bring more web2 folks into the space. We do not want to be like the old Doodles (currently they rock). Is it the NFTs? Is it the tokens? We just have to figure it out.

6) Lastly, that I have to reinforce more and more on this. I support @LucaNetz, I support @Zagabond. But let’s don’t forget the man Ray was actually the inspiration for other NFT founders on launching a token with a NFT collection. Being the first took courage and he pulled it off. Adaptability is going to be the key, across meta and across prices.
