Today is my 30th birthday!
In my first 30 years of life, I've had two exits, worked at a startup now valued at $4B, gotten engaged, bought a house, created a TON of content, and built a great little following of readers and listeners.
Here are 30 lessons learned (thread) 🧵...
@lukeweston Rise the substrate temperature during deposition helps reducing sheet resistance and enhance transmittance. The exact temperature needed depends on the sputtering energy and chamber setup. But 150-250C would be a good start.
@nixie_guy @lukeweston They absorb light or let it through based on voltage applied. Boeing 787 uses them as windows. A lot of car use them as auto dimming mirrors. Wikipedia has a good page on electrochomism
@cleanroombro NileRed did a microwave plasma experiment saw similar color from beaker. It's possible for Na at or near the surface of glass to come out and participate gas phase discharge. NileRed experiment here https://t.co/ruwIm6lTR3
@cleanroombro My guess is bell jar glass impurity/metal content (probably Na) was excited by the plasma heat and/or UV which leads to green flourencence.
