Believe it or not, this time the VICTIM of physical abuse, blackmail and harassment is a 21 year old female POLICE OFFICER and police aren’t doing much.

Adam Azmeer (born 2001) of Endherimaage, N. Henbandhoo is leaking photographs of his ex fiancee and her family on social media and Telegram channels. He has created multiple accounts in her name, taken control of her personal accounts and shared not only her photos but also images of her family members, along with their phone numbers.

As a result, they have been subjected to constant calls and ongoing harassment since Nov 2025. The matter has been reported to the police and an investigation is currently underway. Despite this, he has continued his behaviour, repeatedly creating new accounts each time one is suspended.

It began after she ended their relationship. She chose to end it cause he was extremely controlling and would not even allow her to spend time with her own family. Even after the relationship ended, he has continued attempting to exert control by retaining photographs of her without her consent.

He also forged a police certificate. The forged police certificate doesn’t show any records but in reality he has two prior records relating to sexual violence and obstruction of justice.

He works as a launch driver for Oaga Art Resort. At present, his exact whereabouts are unknown.

On 20 Feb, he travelled to Addu, where the victim lives, to pressure and threaten her into resuming their relationship. While he was in Male’, en route to Addu, the police did not arrest or restrain him. They said that cause the Investigating Officer assigned to the case was based in Addu, they were unable to carry out an arrest in Male’. This is a true story.

After arriving in Addu, he moved around freely for two days before the police eventually confiscated his phone.

According to the police, they had obtained a court order only to seize his phone, not to arrest him. This is difficult to understand given that screenshots, screen recordings, statements and witnesses had already been submitted as evidence. It was also extremely difficult to reach the Investigating Officer for updates during this time.

Following the confiscation of his phone, Azmeer began using a friend’s phone to repeatedly contact and threaten the victim. Despite this, the police still failed to take effective action. The hacked account remained active and he continued to possess explicit photos and videos of the victim which had been backed up to the cloud, something the police appeared to disregard entirely.

Around midnight on 24 Feb, while the victim was on her way to a friend’s home, she encountered him at the harbour. An argument occurred when she demanded that he return control of all her accounts and delete her photos. The situation escalated and as she attempted to leave, he got onto his motorcycle and began strangling her. She managed to struggle free, causing him to fall and was able to escape. She is currently safe and the police were informed immediately.

After the assault, he was taken into police custody and later sent to hospital after sustaining broken ribs from the fall. Police showed him CCTV footage of the assault in which he was seen strangling the victim, but this footage was not shared with the victim or her family.

On 10 Mar, the Investigating Officer was contacted and stated that the matter had been forwarded to the Prosecutor General’s Office and that the investigation is still ongoing. But Azmeer remains free. He’s still walking on the streets.

Within the past two days alone, two new Facebook accounts and one TikTok account have been created in the victim’s name. One of the leaked TikTok videos has already reached approximately 26,500 views. People continue to call her phone number and harass her.

The victim herself is a police officer. Despite this, there appears to have been little effort from the police to apprehend Azmeer or to provide adequate protection to their own officer.
